Job Description:

  1. Define program implementation modalities (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.)

  2. Define overall Nutrition implementation plan in collaboration with Field team and Community Nutrition worker’s personnel to ensure the full package is planned.

  3. Ensure that logistics and administrative arrangements are made timely with the concerned departments in collaboration Logistic, and Administration, responsible for Nutrition program.

  4. Ensure provision of equipment, reporting materials, supplies and drugs as necessary

  5. Ensure timely submission of all reports to Head office, DHO and PNC

  6. Ensure the implementation of activities defined by the District Project Manager in coordination with the Logistics and Administration departments

  7. Develop plan of work for OTP and SC activities according to the expected progress of the project

  8. Evaluate and update program needs (HR, financing, logistics)

  9. Liaise with Head of Program and Program Team (Head Office) to ensure the program strategy, objectives and activities are understood and agreed and appropriate communication channel is in place

  10. Organize monthly meetings with the team and report the outcome to the head of the program along with proposed action plan

  11. Supervising treatment and progress of patients

  12. Ensuring IYCF education is disseminated to the target beneficiaries

  13. Analysing nutrition situation and prevailing trends

  14. Document lessons learned and best practices at the program/District level

  15. Supervise the daily and monthly reporting submitted by field the teams

  16. Provide technical support to IYCF, OTP and SC team when required.

  17. Coordination and participation in Provincial Nutrition Cluster, and nutrition assessment/ survey groups and filing of meeting minutes

  18. Represent Shifa Foundation nutrition programs when and if necessary vis-a-vis donors during their field visits

  19. Monitor stocks physically at static and mobile field level, check for expiry date, quality and quantity

  20. Checking that all the supplies are listed in the stock register, bin cards are visible.

  21. Participate in the follow-up of supplies consumption and orders

  22. Ensuring that stock levels are sufficient for the functioning of SC, Outreach and OTP (weekly, monthly or quarterly)

  23. Ensure communication and coordination between the SC, OTP and IYCF outreach team in the frame of a Nutrition program.

  24. Sensitize main stakeholders on Malnutrition and need for support and commitment for long term access to life saving activities for children; at this stage the overall entry/exit strategy can be shared emphasizing the vital role of the stakeholders to make this happen
