Job Description:

Deputy Outbound Sales Team Lead is the second in charge for our Outbound Sales (Telesales / Telemarketing) team. You’ll be supporting the Lead with all tasks and you’ll be the first POC when the Team Lead is not present.

This is a fast-paced, exciting role where numbers are at the core of everything we do, while ensuring the quality first-touch experience. You, alongside the team members, are going to form the first impression for all of our customers, and therefore, you must lead by example.

You will bring into this role years of previous experience in a similar role, strong analytical thinking, the ability to prioritise, an experience improving running of a department operationally, and above everything, a strong focus on numbers while keeping the highest standards of the services provided. You will have to identify the weakest links in the team (inefficient processes or underperforming individuals) and inform the management so improvements can be achieved.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • The second point of contact for the whole Outbound team, after the Team Lead for the outbound sales team and other internal teams.
  • Responsible for escalations and resolution of issues across the team.
  • Responsible for over viewing a fair distribution of leads depending on the channel (chat, emails, signups, demo bookings etc.) to ensure smooth team operations. 
  • Assisting the Team Lead with all aspects of running the team and serving as the first POC when the Team Lead is not present. 
  • Responsible for assigning tasks/campaigns to team members (If any) and supporting them on execution.
  • Responsible for regular team and individual performance reports, and assistance with ad-hoc reports based on the brief from the management.

Attending meetings with Team Manager to discuss:

Strategy Campaigns

  • Team’s and individuals’ performance and progress
  • Additional lead generation suggestions
  • Operational and HR improvements 
  • Any current or ongoing issues
  • Liaising with the technical team when tech issues occur or support/feedback is needed (e.g. automation).   
  • Responsible for up-to-date documentation, including updating processes and making them available in a centralised departmental document.
  • Assisting with 1-2-1s and team meetings to collect their feedback and suggestions, and to learn about any issues that might have occurred.
  • Responsible for conducting/requesting/arranging additional/ongoing training and training sessions for the team for product/industry/processes knowledge.
  • Managing the team's rota and ensuring a sufficient level of staff on each shift (holiday, sickness, urgency etc.).
  • Responsible for managing daily team breaks via an attendance platform.
  • Support with recruitment, including initial screening of resumes, shortlisting, screening calls and face-to-face interviews and assessment of tests
  • Conducting quality control (QA) across phone recordings, live chats and emails to ensure high standards across the team and to identify further training/improvement needs.

  • A proven track record of selling Saas
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding team Targets
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • Someone who can act as a floor manager for Telesales team
  • Someone who can demonstrate passion for the solution they are selling
  • Some who is ambitious and is looking to grow and develop their career
  • Ability to build relationships with the team members and other stakeholders.

  • Service Industry Domain Knowledge.
  • Experience in selling Service Management Software
