Purpose of this role:

The Communications Specialist will conceptualize, plan and implement the organizations internal and external communications building on the project successes and lessons learned

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Strategic Planning of Communications

·         Development and rolling out of communications strategy for the organization

·         Development and monitoring of communications strategy and plans for projects and field offices

·         Maintaining a strong brand for the organization keeping in view each of the stakeholders using the respective channels of communications

·         Manage the day-to-day internal and external communications and profiling initiatives of the organization.

·         Manage the publication and promotion of organizational materials, including the supervision of design and printing

·         Work on compiling success stories for all project and liaise with the health sector partners on project acheivements

Partners Engagement

·         Promotion of MERF work in national communication forums

·         Review and update project summaries,brouchers on roject activities and outputs internal and external audience

·         Build on existing and develop new relationships with key decision makers, member organizations and others

·         Maintain a strong brand for the organization, including impactful publications, online channels of internal and external communications

Capacity Building and Technical Support

·         Provide technical support to field staff, program teams and implementing partners for ensuring compliance with organization communication strategy

·         Provide technical support to field staff, program teams and implementing partners in developing high quality IEC material, profiling of their programmatic achievements

·         Ensure that the communication outputs are of a high standard, respond to the needs of the target audience, and are delivered within agreed budget and timelines

·         Support in event management for thematic programs through IEC materials, photography, social and media coverage etc

Enhanced Visibility of MERF Programs

·         Quarterly E-Newsletter/Brouchers

·         Periodic Program updates for sharing with relevant forums

·         Compilation of Branding data for Media including summary of media coverage and analysis of Facebook

·         Give Aways and Branded Stationery

·         Development and dissemination of case studies, success stories, brochures, documentaries etc. about various programs and sharing it widely with beneficiaries, donors, global offices, media as per requirement

Compliance with branding guidelines of communications

·         Orientation sessions in quarterly HR workshop for new joiners

·         Orientation sessions with new IPs

·         Time to time direct feedback to IPs and field offices via email

·         Dissemination of SOPs for Communications

·         Customize organizational profiles for various stakeholders

·         Preparation of weekly project update summaries

·         Preparations of briefs for dissemination in the SMT

·         Documentation of SMT and donors meetings minutes
